Primitive Methodism
Although attempts were made in earlier years to establish
Primitive Methodism in Bakewell, it was not until 1879 that the Oddfellows Hall was secured for worship. Later in 1891 a church was
built in Water Street and this was in use until the union with the
Wesleyans in 1932 when the building was used for meetings before being
sold.
